MCP API
What it connects
MCP API connects approved assistant clients to company-scoped Igdrasil tools.
What Igdrasil imports or exports
- Generates and rotates a company MCP API key.
- Provides a ready-to-edit client configuration snippet.
- Allows assistant workflows to access authorized accounting tools.
Requirements
Decide who may generate the key and which assistant client will use it.
Connect steps
- Open Workspace, then Integrations.
- Select MCP API.
- Generate or rotate the company API key.
- Copy the client configuration snippet.
- Add it to the approved MCP client.
First sync checks
Run one low-risk read-only tool call from the client and confirm it uses the intended company workspace.
Daily use
Use MCP clients for assisted accounting workflows where the company key is approved and controlled.
Troubleshooting
If the client cannot connect, rotate the key and confirm the client config points to the current Igdrasil MCP endpoint.
Disconnect and data handling
Rotating or removing the key prevents old clients from making future requests. Existing Igdrasil records are unaffected.
